Our next assignment is two, two point perspective drawings. One has to have an external design as the focus and the other has to have an internal design as the focus. In two point perspective there is two vanishing points which creates a preferial vision in the drawing. Two point perspective normally is centered around a corner. In an external design the object, like a box or wall, seems to be pointing or turning away. Like what a building looks like from the corner of a sidewalk. In an internal design it looks like you are in the building and looking at a corner, the walls coming toward you. The goal of this assignment is to use the principles of two point perspective to create two drawings of the school hallways. This will be my second time doing the two types of two point perspective drawing.
 
I finished my second movement drawing, but I like the second one much more so it is the one I will be using as my final. This drawing accomplishes the goal of creating movement by using only lines by drawing the lines in such a way that they seem to be twisting. The lines form to create a plane that has a checkered pattern that seems to be warping in three dimensional space. Also although i only used straight lines the planes seem to be curved. For each pattern I started with two lines that looked like an "L" from there I divided them up equally and simply connected the points. For the design in the center I simply joined three of them. It seems like a piece is missing out of the center and it really bugged me because it looks like something should be there and that it is unfinished, so of course I left it out. Also for a side project for the 200 themes I started a piece for "picture perfect".  
 
I scraped my original and made a new, much cleaner, drawing. This time I made sure the lines were equal distances apart. I decided to go with a curved line and an angle for my bases. To create a perfectly curved line I wanted to use a protractor, but because there were none in the cave I ended up using the bottom of a large circle tin. To make sure that the lines were equal distances i measured out distances using a ruler. I then proceeded to start another movement drawing. This one will only use straight line to create an illusion of a warping platform.
 
The first assignment is to create movement by using only lines. Movement is a principle of design that refers to the arrangement of a piece to create either slow or fast movement through the work. This movement can either be created in a two dimensional space or create the illusion of three dimensional space. Line is an element of design that either draws or implies the path between two points. The goals of this project is to use line in such a way that the eye sees it as moving. I will do this in a three dimensional space that creates a warping and twisting movement of the lines. My drawing will create a curving motion by only using straight lines. In my first designs i started with two lines, either curved, straight or angled, and then connected the two with straight lines that shifted diagonal slightly each time. I experimented with different combinations of the bases. Two straight lines, two curved lines, two angled lines, an angle and a curve, a straight line and a curve, ect.
